UEFA Champions League

VS

- the match watched by millions or billions of people around the world
- the showdown of 2 great teams
- the battle of 2 great players
- the power of 2 great managers
- the winner takes away 1 great cup
- the location was set in magnificent rome
- the finale was ended yesterday night
- it was all so beautiful

on the 27th of May 2009, the UEFA Champions League Finals was held in Rome where the battle of Barcelona and Manchester United took place. the winner of this league will call themselves the champions of europe which is a great achievement.

a brief explanation of the Champions League here. each and every country in europe plays football and has a league on their own. with many clubs competing in the league, they divide in into several different leagues ranking from the top to bottom. mostly, 1 country would hv 2 or mayb 3 leagues. each league consists of 20 clubs or more.

for instance, in Italy, the top league would be called Serie-A, 2nd division would be called Serie-B. in England, the top league would be called the Premier League (where most ppl would watch), 2nd division would be called the League Championships and so on.

how do u make it into the Champions League? the Champions League has 32 clubs in the competition. so it is fairly simple, juz be the top 3 teams of the league in ur country and u are qualified to enter the Champions League. and why is called the European Champions League? because only clubs from England, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Russia, Denmark, Sweden are qualified to enter the Champions League which makes it 24 out of 32 teams. what about the remaining place? the 4th team of the league have to play a qualifying round with the other 4th members of other leagues to fight for the last spot in the Champions League which fills up all the 32spots in the Champions League.

clear so far? hehe, anyhow...it's a battle between all the top teams in their country in 1 big league. that's why it is so good to watch compared to other matches.

andres iniesta - he's one of the best midfielder

i watched the final between Barcelona and Manchester United despite it all being telecast live at 2.45am +8GMT. the opening ceremony was very grand with the stage being set so beautifully. the 90minutes throughout the game was quite entertaining as well eventhough it was late at nite. Barcelona indeed played very well but Manchester did have some tricks up their sleeves. all in all, it was good to watch.

Click HERE if you would like to read on the report that night.

lionel messi - most probably the world player of the year 2009

f.c barcelona - won all 3 cups in 1 season
(spanish league, champions league, kings cup)

hope those who read this can know a bit more bout football :) and yes, football plays for 90minutes with 45minutes at each half and a 10minutes rest in between.

android fever

htc magic

i've posted htc dream G1 b4 utilizing the android os and this is the 2nd installation of htc's range of android phones, finally announced ... this is the htc magic or u can call it the G2...

several upgrades compared to the previous model and it's all wonderful. first off would be a slimmer n thinner design due to losing the slide-out keyboard. second would be a larger built in ROM and RAM making it faster compared to the G1. equipped with a new version of android, version 1.5 or they would like to call it cupcake, it's a lot smoother n has a better interface as well. similiar to appstore, android comes with its own version called the android market where u can download many sorts of third-party applications either free or paid.

hands itching for 1, u know how much i love to play around with new open source stuffs hehe ... heard it'll be released in HK, Germany, Russia n Singapore nxt mth. hehe, why no Malaysia? nxt year again!? might be retailing for RM2.3k or somewhere around there ... will definitely get it if it's about rm1.5k!

the next iPhone 3G?

said to be released on the 17th July with the following specs :-

* 32GB and 16GB storage (up from the current 16GB and 8GB models)
* $199 and $299 price points to be maintained
* 3.2-megapixel camera (up from the current 2-megapixel camera)
* Video-recording and editing capabilities
* Ability to send a picture & video via MMS
* Discontinuation of the metal band surrounding the edge of the device
* OLED screen
* 1.5 times the battery life of the current models
* Double the RAM and processing power
* Built-in FM transmitter
* Apple logo on back will glow
* Rubber-tread backing
* Sleeker design
* Built-in compass
* The camera, GPS, compass and Google map combined will identify photo and inform about photo locations
* Turn-by-turn directions

will it be true? how will it look it? will u want one? well, among all these purportedly true specs...i would be interested in the OLED screen since it will increase the battery life n will also add in clarity to the already clear screen but the fact is OLED screens are costlier than the current LCD screen. with the same price, i'm not sure whether they'll make it or not.

hopefully they'll bag in the OS3.0 alongside as well coz it's a serious upgrade for all current iPhone users! androids juz reached v1.5 and are marching onwards to v2.0 but i still hvn't get a chance to play around with it...hopefully soon :)

until then ... let's juz wait n see...

led tv

today i've been to d ikano power center and i finally got a glimpse of an led tv...the model i came about was samsung's led tv in 46" and 32" which was spectacular i would say.

first and foremost was d design of tat particular model, it was SLIM and i mean ultra-slim :)

other formidable features from n led tv would be energy saving, ultra high dynamic contrast and ultra fast response time of 2ms with 100hz anti flicker pictures. it was playing a demo clip and the video quality was sharp, clear and beautiful. it's nothing compared to others which was on display...

they had philips and sony hd lcds on display but once i saw the led tv, it stunned me. they have 2 series for the LED TVs, 6 series and 7 series both with distinctive features of their own. 6 series would be a conventional lcd tv with 4 HDMi ports and USB port for easy sharing, the 7 series comes with built in internet tv function(which is not yet popular in our country) which means it has built in wireless connection to download and stream contents from the internet or see on screen widgets which updates from time to time, and play games n more ... talking bout innovation for tv :D

would hv taken some pictures if i had a camera but then wait till u see the price...u shud go hv a look at it urself :)

the 40" model was priced @ RM5999 and the 46" model was RM14999! =D
anyhow, it's something i would wan in my house nxt time...

for more information u can visit:-

HTC TyTN II (Kaiser)

been using this phone for the past week now, the OS that came along with it was sluggish and totally under utilized the processing power of this little thing. it's a HSDPA phone that has a full-sized qwerty keyboard when u slide it open. about a year n half ago, this was the ultimate pda phone retailing for rm3.5k ... but now it's totally different.

anyhow, i've given it a fresh new operating system n it's now running on a lighter, faster but cooler interface. it wasn't easy, took a lot of reading and research before being able to confidentally give it a try because any mistakes in between might render the phone bricked / in other words USELESS :D anyhow it's working fine n very nice now thanks to guyz over in the xda developer forums and also the mastermind of this incredible rom. there are many different roms which they play around with but i seem to like this so i gave it a try. indeed, the results were superb :)

here are some pictures of the phone before and after ...
