Access Point feature

oh ya, i left out a fairly important feature for the Asus P835 PDA phone which caught my eye ... it comes with a built in access point feature which allows you to share the high speed internet connection with 10 different devices. this feature usually requires 3rd party software but it's now included by asus to easily share ur internet connection with ur laptop to enable internet on the go! very useful feature and it automatically reconnects dropped connections too ... hehe

ASUS Smart Phone/ PDA Phone P835

here's something new from asus, a brand more renowned in notebooks and computer peripherals ... just released the specifications for this new P835 with stunning specs and new innovations. see if u like it or not ;)

so what can u see here? a fast processor (528Mhz Qualcomm Processor), a crystal clear high resolution touchscreen (3.5" WVGA 800x480), a very new and innovative ASUS Glide software (similiar to the TouchFlo from HTC), 7.2mbps HSUPA high speed connectivity (7.2mb Download/ 2mb Upload), sufficient amount of RAM n ROM to run more applications faster (288MB RAM & 256MB ROM). it also comes with aGPS (assisted GPS for navigation) and Push E-Mail. to top things off, asus added in a responsive trackball to optimize ur web browsing experience with great software such as Opera Mobile, MSN, YouTube, Flickr.

with something as good as this, don't expect it to come in a small package though ... hehe, the dimensions = 115mm x 59mm x 13.8mm ... let's see if u can guess which is height, length and width :D

PDA Net

this is a software i've jus tried out. might not b something new to other ppl but it's new to me, this software allows you to access the internet from your desktop or laptop using your phone's data. they made it available for iphone so i decided to try it out and tether my phone with a desktop pc.

this new version allows ppl to connect their iphone through usb cable or wirelessly too. i'm running an unlimited 3g data plan so i decided to test it out by downloading something huge ( i chose nvidia's vga driver which is 90mb ) and let it run. juz by using the usb cable, i was able to maintain a stable transfer of 90kb/s download speed (which is quite fast here in Malaysia) and using my mobile device.

this software is also available for Windows Mobile Devices too :)

if u wanna use it through USB, u have to download a PDANet modem software to be installed first. i will have some screenshots up in a few moments...
