" Apple Sells Over One Million iPhone 3GS Models

iPhone 3.0 Software Downloads Reach Six Million

CUPERTINO, Calif., June 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Apple® today announced that it has sold over one million iPhone™ 3GS models through Sunday, June 21, the third day after its launch. In addition, six million customers have downloaded the new iPhone 3.0 software in the first five days since its release.

"Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "With over 50,000 applications available from Apple's revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever."

The new iPhone 3GS is the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet, packed with incredible new features including improved speed and performance — up to twice as fast as iPhone 3G — with longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, easy to use video recording and hands free voice control. iPhone 3GS includes the new iPhone OS 3.0, the world's most advanced mobile operating system with over 100 new features such as Cut, Copy and Paste, MMS*, Spotlight™ Search, landscape keyboard and more. iPhone 3GS customers get access to more than 50,000 applications from Apple's revolutionary App Store, the largest application store in the world where customers have already downloaded over one billion apps. iPhone 3GS offers twice the capacity for the same price with a 16GB model for just $199 and a new 32GB model for just $299.** And iPhone 3G is available at the breakthrough price of just $99 for the 8GB model — a huge milestone for the high end smartphone market."

iPhone 3GS is Jailbreakable

dev-team guyz were able to identify that there's a loophole inside iPhone 3GS similiar to the iPod Touch 2G and they're able to use the same technique to jailbreak iPhone 3GS. it is also known to be unlockable using ultrasn0w, so until then...

we'll have to wait for the dev-team guyz to release their latest version of redsn0w which is able to support iPhone 3GS jailbreaking!

michael jackson

the legendary "king of pop", with his superb stage performance, captivating dance moves, and wonderful songs ... left us this morning (approx. 9am +8gmt) due to a heart attack, in his 50th year.

i remembered watching him on tv when i was young, waking up in d morning during weekends and put on his video tapes and watch him dance and sing. my dad bought me his cd (which was quite expensive that time) and i listened to it almost everyday. since then, i bought almost all his albums (in cassettes).

how he perform, how he sing, how he dance, and how he brings himself around made him who he was...

announcing his extraordinary comeback tour in o2 arena early this year, his departure this morning left the whole world in shock, and many many many many fans and citizens around the world will cherish what he gave everyone. i will definitely miss him ... and we hope that he will rest in peace...

updates

1) the dev-team has released PwnageTool for Mac only (19th June 2009)

2) the dev-team has released redsn0w for Win / Mac (20th June 2009)

PwnageTool = a more advanced tool for advanced users to jailbreak iPod touch but NOT iPod touch 2g, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G (fully unlocked) but NOT iPhone 3GS. u have to create a custom firmware to be able to use this tool to jailbreak after upgrading to 3.0.

redsn0w = easy-to-use, multi platform, multi device jailbreak tool designed for iPod touch, iPod touch 2g, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G (fully unlocked) but NOT iPhone 3GS.

To use redsn0w simply upgrade the device in iTunes to firmware version 3.0 and run redsn0w to activate and jailbreak the device (and if you are using an original iPhone 2G, it will unlock it too!)

windows 7

enuf of iPhone for the moment d ... hehe

it's now about the latest windows that's been going on for the past couple of weeks now. microsoft has been giving out the RC(release candidate) version of the windows 7 for many people interested in testing out the latest version of windows 7. the RC is set to expire march next year and after that specific date, the windows will shutdown every 2hrs of usage and they will start shutting down all RC after June 2010.

according to microsoft, windows 7 will be officially launched and available for sale @ 22nd October 2009 this year.

Microsoft will release six editions of Windows 7 but concentrate marketing efforts on two of them. The following Windows 7 editions will be made available:

* Windows 7 OEM
* Windows 7 Starter
* Windows 7 Home Premium
* Windows 7 Professional
* Windows 7 Ultimate
* Windows 7 Enterprise

looks familiar right? :)

Each edition of Windows 7 will come with a distinct feature set. It is generally the case that the more expensive editions of Windows 7 will ship with additional features that the less expensive ones do not ship with. Here are some examples:

* Windows 7 Home Premium is considered one of the main editions. It will ship with the Aero interface, Windows Media Center, multi-touch, handwriting features, DVD playback and probably image based backups.

* Windows 7 Professional builds up on the Windows 7 Home Premium edition by adding features like joining Windows domains, group policy based management tools, Remote Desktop host capabilities, network-based backup features, and support for the Encrypting file system.

* Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise contain all the features of Windows 7 Professional plus upport for BitLocker whole-drive encryption (and the new BitLocker To Go feature, which adds high-grade encryption to removable media). This edition also includes all supported language packs (those cost extra for other editions) and the capability to boot from a VHD.

another question directed towards microsoft right now would be the downgrade rights becoz many ppl still want to use windows xp to run their software. they have announced that they would allow users to downgrade from windows 7 to windows xp within the first six months purchase of a set of system with windows 7. this basically meant that businesses and individuals would be able to downgrade to Windows XP Professional if they purchased a new computer system running Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate before May 2010. the only downgrade after that six month period would be to Windows Vista.

there's also a training on windows 7 on the 7th of July by microsoft for oem resellers here. not sure what they're gonnna talk about. we'll see...
