gong xi fa cai! a phrase u'll be seeing and hearing in the coming few days :) yeah, chinese new year is here! early this year! hehe, how excited are u?

i was on leave since yesterday, didn't answer some phone calls so i guess some ppl would wanna know where i went. hehe, so i kinda did some last minute shopping yesterday ... i went to pavilion juz after i woke up about 12, shopped around there, had lunch n then put my stuffs in d car, then walked from pavilion to klcc n continued shopping ... finished everything @ about 7 n went home after tat. bought some shirts, 2 pair of jeans, and a pair of futsal shoes ... settled down, then went for futsal from 9 - 11 ... so tired, came back n showered n then went out for dinner cum supper ... after that, was still quite awake so went to fren's house to play a brand new pS３... keke, winning eleven 2009 ... a football game ... until bout 3am onli went home n zzz ... well, tat's all for my day :)

tat concludes what i did yesterday...i've also heard a quite funny joke i would like to share with everybody ... hehe, here goes

今天我在挤牛奶，刚好挤了一桶，奶牛用左脚把桶踢翻了。
today, i went to milk the cow, just when the pail is full, the cow kicked the pail with its left foot.
我用绳子把牛的左腿绑在了柱子上接着挤，
so i roped its left foot to a pole and continue milking.
结果刚好一桶接满，它又用右腿把桶踢翻了
when i finished another pail, it kicked the pail with its right foot!
哎，一些事情，你永远无法解释。
sigh, somethings you just can't explain.
我把它右腿也绑到柱子上了，结果刚好挤满一桶，它又用尾巴把桶扫倒了
i roped its right foot to the pole again, but when i'm jus about to fill up the nxt pail, the cow struck the pail with it's tail!
这回我没有绳子了，就计划用皮带把牛尾巴绑到柱子上。
i ran out of ropes, so i planned to use my belt to tie the cow's tail.
我把皮带抽出来，把牛尾巴抓起来。
i pulled my belt out, grabbed it's tail up ...
这时，我的裤子掉了，正巧我女朋友进来了…
at that moment, my pants came off and just at that time, my girlfriend arrived

midvalley @ 8.30

today is the earliest and the first time i arrive in midvalley. Eventhough at this hour there's so many ppl walking around although most of the shops are closed. I went to McD in midvalley for breakfast since it's d only opened restaurant. reminds me when we woke up early in d morning and rushed to get some front row seat tickets for the grease musical in picadilly circus london. went to McD for breakfast too that morning. the funny thing is there's an auntie waiting in front of carrefour's entrance with a trolley waiting to shop already!

gesture controlled tv

it's called spatial motion control from toshiba ... very interesting technology which allows you to control what is shown on the tv from a distance using gestures (or hand movements) which seems to b quite popular nowadays in stuffs like the Eee PC or mostly any touchscreen devices. still under development but they've done a great deal for what i can see and experience ... it's in 3D!

there's so many things goin on in CES right now as i post this ... wonder when will i have the chance to visit any of these great exhibitions. i've jus read something about foldable LCD screens, crazy handheld keyboard designs, wireless power chargers (imagine tat!), netbook tablet pc's, SDXC memory cards?! ; crazily expensive OLED digital photo frames (USD1000 for a 7"), 19" Gaming Laptops, 3D LCD monitors, upscaling dvd players are quite a hit too, and giant HD outdoor screens popping up in many different locations...and FYI Palm is NOT dead ( by releasing Palm Pre in CES2009 ) i think i can go on and on and on and on ... but i'll juz stop here for a while ...

there's also many upcoming cool movies walking right into a cinema near u!

windows 7 beta (build 7000)

beta version released and got it in a pc to test it out...quite amazing although it's still in the beta stage. it's nicer and quicker compared to vista, quite some improvements made as well. i'm sure most of the ppl will be looking forward to the up and coming windows 7...

btw, how many of u still using windows xp? so better start off by using windows vista and get used to it before the day you need to adapt to a whole new environment comes :)

waiting for the full version to release ... using directx 11 but still have problems while playing games.

carbon fibre

a very lightweight material normally used in race/sports cars but it's getting common in other products such as notebooks and computer for a nice finishing touch. guess wut? they're coming out with an iphone 3g case in carbon fibre too! the design is exactly d same as the SGP case i'm using jus that the polycarbonate material is swapped by 4 layers of carbon fibre material and it weighs only 15gram.

some nice pics of it from the manufacturer, wonder if its gonna be available here or not.

CES is juz around the corner, it's a tech exhibition showcasing the latest n newest technology available from all different manufacturers around the world in 1 exhibition and this time it's in las vegas! there are so many new stuffs surfacing on d internet which excites ppl everywhere ... including me but too bad ... las vegas is too far for me to visit ... for now.

there's also another interesting stuff in california ... MacWorld, a launching event to showcase the latest in mac products. keynotes will b missed by steve jobs this time i guess, heard he's still not feelin quite well ...

oh ... creative (the company who makes mp3) juz axed 3000 employees from their company despite the fact that they're coming up with the Zii (stem computing which is rumoured to be a new form of processing technology) which will be announced in CES 2009.

happy birthday

juz came back from celebrating the birthday of 2 frens + colleagues ... namely waiheng(2nd Jan) and choykit(4th jan). went to the karaoke and had quite some fun after work straight till 3.30am ... and yeah, we're all working 2moro! hehe, anyway here are some pics i took of the prize of waiheng's gift from us all ... as for choykit's present, i didn't manage to take any pictures of it due to time limitation.
