exchange rate
been monitoring exchange rates almost everyday since currency does affect some decision making in my everyday job and each day i see, i will feel a bit saddened ... i've been to uk b4 and tat time the exchange rate was 6.8! (which i find was lower already compared to 7.2 or 7.3 last time) but i hvn't visit europe worr ... and d bloody euro now is already 4.9! and it was 3.6 or 3.7 back then! how to visit europe ooo???

it's all becoming a norm and trend right now, so many different brands coming out with so many different types of touch screen phones. each with it's own distinctive design, taste and function. it's so mind-blogging to see what people can do with a palm-sized device nowadays compared to those phones say 10yrs ago. touch screen devices and multi-touch devices ... wonderful how 1 flat piece of plastic can do so much. which of the following do u think is worth using as a full function phone?

season's greetings ~ merry christmas!
ho ho ho, everybody having fun already? quite free today, had a christmas day off ... yesterday and today ... we went to a fren's house in mont kiara for a barbeque party with a whole bunch of colleagues n frens ... about 16 of us. it's a very nice place juz opposite plaza mont kiara.
bought lots of food, had drinks, music, and laughters ... all the way to 2am. by 12, we popped 2 bottles ... before we adjourn, we were thinking of where to go for new year ... in d end, we decided to think again nxt time ... haha~

nokia 8800
heard of this phone b4? they have a whole range of it and i love each n every one of it ... i've used the nk8810 before but it's been stolen :( ... anyway the new range is called sapphire arte ... here's another new 1 ... gold arte!
This precious puppy is dipped in 18-carat gold and has white leather on the front and back -- just in case the gold wasn't enough to prove its owners are living on the edge of obnoxious ostentation. Other than its looks, you can expect the newest 8800 to be pretty much identical to its Carbon Arte predecessor, with 3G, 4GB of flash memory, an OLED display and a 3.2 megapixel camera. We don't know exactly when it's slated for release in Europe, but we expect it to carry a pretty "impressive" price tag like it's previous predecessors.

hehe, got an early lil' christmas present for myself. a 21.5" hd samsung lcd monitor ... nice nice ... with the specs written below

so there goes my 17" LG square lcd monitor which i bought for 500+ a yr and half ago (d same price i bought this 21.5" lcd ). using DVI cables now compared to the analogue cable i was using for my pc :) good good ... hehe

end of pc fair
today's sunday ... finally kl's 3day pc fair has ended :) hehe, it's d earliest tat we can finish packing and unloading back in lowyat altogether plus finishing supper and getting back by 1am ... it's been a small scale fair for us this time though but we've done well enough although there were some mishaps in between :) hehe, gratz gratz to everyone ... we had 5 booths in total, including packing up and unloading, it's considered very very early compared to last time where we can only finish unloading around 1am or half past 12 ... hehe
so many ppl bought laptops, bought cameras, bought lcds, bought network products, bought printers, bought computers but there were also a lot of ppl running around with huge dslrs capturing moments of the fair, and of course not to miss ... pretty pretty promoter girls : babes :o

nike rejuven8
it's been a while since my last post ... been travelling around between work, home and d hospital ... dad's still in d hospital right now, since 28th november, he's doing well right now juz tat the docs are scheduling a scan for his kidneys before making sure and confirming that he can be released from the hospital.
btw, pc fair's around the corner and it's on this weekend 12-14 december in KLCC (convention center) and i'll b there for the whole 3 days so if u happen to drop by do let me know :)
back to my topic, christmas, new year and cny is also around the corner too so i'm sure tat many ppl are preping themselves up with new gears n apparels plus the on-going sale tat's going on as well ... hehe, wanted to get a new pair of shoes for myself but then been looking around for a mth n i still couldn't get my hands on this specific pair of shoes around town. is it that difficult to get ?? hmm, it's a shoe called nike rejuven8 ... not any normal ones but this specific pair which i like the color pairing though :)
here are the other colors that come along with it as well ... i saw a few other different colors and some small difference in the design in some nike shops but still couldn't find the one on top ... grrr
if anyone is able to spot the red white rejuven8 pls let me know alright ?? hehe, would appreciate tat a lot :) time to go to bed since there's a fair for me to go in a few hrs time ... hoho, until next post ... have a nice dAY!

he's fine
dad's fine today, feeling much better ... able to eat, drink and sleep easier compared to yesterday ... still being monitored and hopefully his kidney can be fully functional again or at least half ... but he's alright

just got back home ... it's 2.30 in the morning ... it's raining ... since evening right up till now ... i hope i was jus back from a drinking session or a clubbing session ... but i'm not ... i was jus back from the um medical center ... dad was admitted into the hospital yesterday evening ... i went over to see him once i finish work.
on d way back home, through the very common n familiar federal highway, the journey felt ... long and difficult ... i thought, mayb it's because of the rain, or mayb i was driving alone, or mayb it's 2 in d morning, or mayb the road was slippery n i was hydroplanning for a bit ... the usual 10 minutes drive took me double the time to reach home ... i've never seen dad in such great amount of pain ... hurts me so much and i couldn't do anything but to hold his hands ... and i guess the rain got into my eyes for some reason ...
dad's feet n neck were a bit swollen about a week ago, we all knew there was smth wrong ... he didn't wanna go for a checkup until finally he went n he was diagnosed for kidney failing, anemia ;which was new; and mild diabetes ... he's been through that once but this was different ... he's 59 this year ...
mum was d most worried ... and it was elder sis who've been alongside them for d whole day ... younger sis came along after work ... even uncle n aunt visited dad for the night ... they were all very worried ... including me myself at work ... i'm sorry to my colleagues n friends if i'm a bit too serious at work today ...
dad has been strong for us all through his 59 long years and he will continue to stay strong for a lot more years to come ... dearest mum, pls stay strong n both my dear sisters ... let us all be strong for dad ...

read this news flash in a website stating the world's first release of a 4g smartphone, capable of utilizing gsm and wimax mobile networks together (wimax is a network capable of high speed data transfer, it's different from gsm because gsm is made for voice and not data). here are some specifications of the htc max 4g released in russia now ...

dream
slept for few hours yesterday ... in d midst of my sleep i had a very weird dream ... and i remember this dream quite clearly ... wonder why i can remember this dream ...
i was walking in a quiet street ... then suddenly i slipped myself n fell down coz d street was slippery, but then out of nowhere a black scorpion crawled out onto my head. i didn't move, when it reached somewhere above my ears ... the scorpion stung me with its poisonous tail. and then i woke up, it was already 7 in d morning... the weirdest thing is tat i felt my left head a bit numb n up till now i can still feel it's a bit numb...mayb it's not a very good sign ... or mayb i'm juz too superstitious n tired ...
when i woke up, n got myself ready to work, i went to feed my little doggie out at the balcony ... after cleaning his stuffs n filling it up with food, i walk towards d wooden door n found that it was locked from d inside! which means i locked myself outside! so i thought for a while on how to unlock d door which is inside ... i wonder what's happening to me ... got locked in d parking area yesterday night ... got locked again today in my own house! luckily ... i've got d keys hanging on d metal gate when i opened it to access my balcony so i grabbed d keys n unlocked the door n got back into d house ...

juz got back from watching the 2nd installment of a hilarious comedy of a journey on a group of animal frens befriended in new york zoo...had nothing much to do so decided to watch a movie after work with some colleagues n i ended up watching the movie at 11.25pm in berjaya times square with 6 other colleagues of mine (it's the onli choice coz other slots were totally SOLD OUT!!!) when i collected my tickets (which i bought online), i saw d cinema seatings were totally full too! and yeah, if ur planning to watch this movie pls buy it directly or pre-book ur tickets online or else u'll b dissapointed if u wanna watch it last minute ...
it's been a while since i last queued to enter the cinema ... wat to say, this movie is really worth watching ... it's funny right from the start (even the intro) straight till d very end, with some really sweet stuffs in d middle :) still, it's a very very hilarious movie to watch ... i like to move it move it ... :o hehe, i like :D
p.s : on d way to my car, i found out i'm missing my parking ticket so i thought either one of my colleagues got it but after about few minutes of searching my own pockets, i found out i'm really missing my parking ticket. tried tracking back to the auto pay machine to look for it but couldn't seem to see it anywhere...after about 10 to 15mins of searching with colleagues helping around, i gave up as it was already quite late ... so i decided to pay for lost ticket, i guess i left it at d machine myself n someone took it after me. went over to the management office n looked for d guy telling him i lost my ticket, but he was a bit kind or mayb i look too good boy d ... so he juz asked me to drive my car over n he'll open d gate for me :) when i got there, he came over with a key but he noticed something on d other gate ... a parking ticket on top of the gate ... he grabbed it n slot it into my gate n it opened ... hmm, mayb d guy who took my ticket felt guilty n left my parking ticket there ... or i'm juz lucky :)

p.s : on d way to my car, i found out i'm missing my parking ticket so i thought either one of my colleagues got it but after about few minutes of searching my own pockets, i found out i'm really missing my parking ticket. tried tracking back to the auto pay machine to look for it but couldn't seem to see it anywhere...after about 10 to 15mins of searching with colleagues helping around, i gave up as it was already quite late ... so i decided to pay for lost ticket, i guess i left it at d machine myself n someone took it after me. went over to the management office n looked for d guy telling him i lost my ticket, but he was a bit kind or mayb i look too good boy d ... so he juz asked me to drive my car over n he'll open d gate for me :) when i got there, he came over with a key but he noticed something on d other gate ... a parking ticket on top of the gate ... he grabbed it n slot it into my gate n it opened ... hmm, mayb d guy who took my ticket felt guilty n left my parking ticket there ... or i'm juz lucky :)

apple store
hello there frens, haven't been blogging for a couple of weeks already. nothin much in town recently but there's something which caught my attention today n I would like to share it with everybody there.
finally, apple has launched apple store here in Malaysia!
u can purchase iPods, macs, MacBooks straight from d store n get it delivered directly to ur doorstep. there's also exclusive premiums such as specification customizing, gift wraps, laser engraving services upon requests. I wonder if iTunes store has been setup already? hehe, just a happy news to share with everyone.
oh ya, if u purchase any iPod or macbooks from d Malaysia store now, u can get a free limited edition grand opening tshirt from apple store too! tat's before 24th November so hurry up n go get something now!!

OLED
remember that little 11" oled screen from sony i've posted up a while back?
not long after, samsung came up with this oled which is ... big~! not 19, not 22, not 24, but straight up to 40" ~! in hd format~! it's so big n so thin, when it was on display without the frame over in an exhibition it literally flap around in d air ...
great stuff ...
btw, chi mei EL (CMEL), a taiwanese display manufacturer, has also launched it's oled products but it has managed 25" oled display in hd ... very impressive :)

hmm, d netbooks jus couldn't stop coming :)
this little thing captured my attention though ... hehe, wonder when will it be available here ... hp realized d trend n finally switched to intel's atom processor (1.6Ghz N270), running on either 1gb / 2gb ram, 10.2" display at 1024 x 600 resolution, 60gb hdd / 8gb or 16gb ssd drive, and an option of XP (only 1gb) or hp's propreitory ubuntu-based linux MIE OS (something similiar to touchsmart pc software). it comes standard with an SD slot, vga webcam, 802.11b/g wifi, ethernet, usb port n optional bluetooth as well. estimated price would be around USD$399 ...
i could use 1 of this little thingy :)

google earth
i'm sure most of u heard of this n installed this in ur computer or at least played around with it before ... recently, google has made it's awesome google earth application available in iphone/ipod touch version ... what's so cool about it u might say? d whole world is in ur handheld device~!
it's more towards iphone coz it has the a-gps function available when u press the locate me button, it will use the a-gps to locate where u are exactly when u get a fix. but what amazes me would be the tilting function. when u tilt it straight 90 degrees, the whole view will turn into a flat 3d mode and u can also read any wikipedia posted notes from users around the world by jus double tapping the icon on the map. nice...
btw ... it was a great quarter for Apple, including 6.8 million iPhones sold in June, July and August alone ... not to mention the remainding months ... and AT&T (a telco in US) reported about 2.4 million iphone 3g was activated in US alone ... heard the ratio for an iphone user is about 30 : 1 ... there's already 6 iphone users at d place i'm working alreadY~!! 4 of them 3g ... anyone else wanna join the group?

hmm, i wonder how many teams of developers n software engineers do microsoft have ... they juz launched windows vista ... then service pack 1, after a while came the windows xp service pack 3 ... then upcoming would be the windows 7 (which will be introduced in a few hours in microsoft professional developer convention, mpdc in US), and they will also launch windows vista service pack 2~! hah, what a bloody sentence tat was ... see what microsoft has to offer la ... so complicated

bangkok dangerous
went to watch bangkok dangerous midnite movie with a few frens over in cineleisure damansara. d movie was okay but it turned into bangkok jam in d middle coz d movie jus stopped halfway n a picture of a doctor came up showing they're experiencing technical difficulties after about 30mins from start. d doctor came up again after another 30 mins later, cutting off d excitement. hehe, watched it out of boredom. still managed to get 6 other frens to watch together...
